Belarus. Topsoil moisture loss was observed in most of the country

Due to a long precipitation shortage and low relative air humidity, the soil is losing moisture – this especially concerns its top layer. Productive moisture supply decreased in much of the country. Good moisture supply remains in most crop areas, reports UkrAgroConsult.

In many parts of the country, the 0-10-cm soil layer is poorly moistened that deteriorates the conditions for its tillage and hampers emergence of spring crops. The soil has warmed to a depth of 10 cm in most of Belarus, allowing farmers to actively sow heat-loving crops.
