Ukraine. Rapeseed meal exports to the EU more than doubled

Rapeseed meal exports in July-April 2018/19 totaled 162 KMT, close to their all-time high of 166.5 KMT (MY 2015/16). So, they gained 151% from last year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The EU continues to be the biggest importer with a market share of 73%. It boosted purchases by 130% against last year due to increasing rapeseed crush in Ukraine.

In MY 2018/19, Ukraine exported rapeseed meal for the first time to Ireland and Slovakia and resumed shipments to countries such as Spain, Morocco, Italy and Belarus.

Growth in exports to the following major markets: Israel (+134%) and Poland (+86%).

A slowdown in exports to: Turkey (-59%), Latvia (-45%), Estonia (-39%).
