Taking into account Belarus’ real needs for both oilseeds and oilseed products, it will be impossible to reduce import dependency in the oilseed market segment in the new season, UkrAgroConsult reports.

At the same time, according to UkrAgroConsult’s estimates, higher plantings and yield will allow Belarus to harvest a better (+10-12%) crop of rapeseed.

High oilseed demand from Belarus will be supported by the livestock sector’s need for processed products due to poultry population growth – over 50 Ml head in the last three seasons, and stable cattle inventories.

Ukraine partially meets the needs of Belarus for sunflower and soybean meals and supplies soybeans. Russia is also among the biggest oilseed supplies and supplies of meals.
