According to customs statistics, almost 15 MMT of wheat had been exported as of December 8, including 9.85 MMT of milling wheat and 5.13 MMT of feed wheat.
So, this season’s share of milling wheat in exports currently equals 66%. Milling wheat shipments rose on increasing demand from importers preferring high-protein wheat (for food use) – Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Algeria and other MENA countries (Middle East and North Africa).
For less than six months, exporters shipped abroad almost as much as during the entire season last years, UkrAgroConsult reports.
According to the Ag Ministry’s forecast, the following volumes will be available for export 3.59 MMT of milling wheat and 6.73 MMT of feed wheat.
In other words, the Ag Ministry estimates this season’s export share of milling wheat at 53%.
