China stopped flour purchases from Kazakhstan in January

80 KMT of Kazakh flour was exported in January. This is 57% lower from December and 15% lower from January 2019/20 MY. This season’s exports totaled 839 KMT or +22% y-o-y, UkrAgroConsult reports.

China bought no Kazakh wheat in January, but its purchases since the season’s beginning were anyway up 40% y-o-y. The top importer – Afghanistan – stepped up purchases by 45% from the same time last year. Demand from other importers – Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan was down year-on-year.
