Egypt is the top consumer of Ukrainian wheat at the moment

March exports of Ukrainian wheat totaled 697 KMT. This is by 2% lower from February exports and by 47% lower from March 2019/20. A total 14.4 MMT of wheat has already been exported this season (down 20% y-o-y), UkrAgroConsult reports.

Indonesia and Thailand have not been purchasing Ukrainian wheat for four months now.

The main consumer in the past two months is Egypt, with its share in Ukrainian wheat exports up at 15%.

Traditional buyers reduced imports from the same time last year: Indonesia (-16%), Egypt (-35%), Bangladesh (-46%), Turkey (-44%), Tunisia (-11%), Yemen (-34%), the Philippines (-43%).

The following markets increased purchases: Morocco (+89% y-o-y) and the EU (+37%).
