Above-normal air temperatures seen over the last seven days have caused winter wheat and barley to resume growing. This increased the portion of winter grains entering the third-leaf stage. Winter rape is in the rosette stage.
A sharp drop in the average air temperature after February 20 is expected to stop growth in winter wheat, barley and rape plants. The forecast minimum temperatures will be higher than critical for winter crops, reports UkrAgroConsult.
