Kazakhstan exported 4.5 KMT of peas in November 2021/22, or twice as much as in October, but 29% less than in November 2020/21.
Pea exports in September-November 2021/22 totaled 9.1 KMT, or down 45% from September-November 2020/21. Moreover, this is the lowest volume for this time in four years, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Afghanistan and Uzbekistan remain the top buyers of Kazakh peas this season. Supplies to these markets fell by 33% and 81%, respectively.
Iran has become one of the three biggest export destinations this season, as it purchased 1.1 KMT compared with 0.2 KMT for the entire last season.
Exports to traditional markets such as Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Turkey are insignificant for now.
