Belarus considers a possibility of building a river port on the Dnieper river in Gomel region near the border with Ukraine to enter the Black Sea. Turkish investor, Derin Shipping & Trading Co, took interest in the project. Port construction may take place in Nizhnyye Zary village (Bragin district of Gomel region).
It is noted that with help of the river port, Belarus will be able to deliver potash salts, crude oil products, granite, meat and dairy products, and engineering equipment, reports UkrAgroConsult.
Ukrainian side confirmed the technical possibility of passing river-sea vessels from Kiev Hydroelectric Power Plant to village of Nizhnyye Zary.
