Turkey became the top importer of Ukrainian sunflower seed

During the first two months of the current season, sunflower seed exports totaled 13 KMT, or twice as much as in the same period last year (6.1 KMT), reports UkrAgroConsult.

Ukraine exported 10.4 KMT of sunflower seed in October 2018/19 against 2.6 KMT in the previous month and 3.6 KMT in October 2017.

The first two months of the current season witnessed a change in the shares of importers of Ukrainian sunflower seed. So, Turkey became the top buyer with a significant rise in sunflower seed purchases, to 7.6 KMT against 0.6 KMT a year ago. At the same time, the country squeezed EU countries, which reduced purchases to 3.8 KMT against 4.8 KMT bought a year ago.
