Ukraine. Margarine production still lower than last year

Ukraine’s large and medium-sized crushers produced 17.5 KMT of margarine in October 2018, i.e. 9.8% less than in the previous month (19.4 KMT) and 23% less than in October 2017 (22.7 KMT).

Margarine production in January-October 2018 was down 3.4% year-on-year against a 0.6% delay reported a month earlier.

The seasonal rise in output indicators is observed this year, but it does not look so significant as a year ago. Taking this fact into account, UkrAgroConsult reduces its forecast for this year’s total margarine production to 210-215 KMT.
