Ukraine will receive additional security guarantees for grain exports via the Black Sea after talks in Saudi Arabia on March 23-25. As a result of the agreements reached with the participation of the United States, measures were agreed to prevent attacks on commercial vessels transporting agricultural products. In addition, international partners promise to help reduce the cost of marine insurance for Ukrainian vessels, which will significantly improve the logistical capabilities of the agricultural sector.
President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that ensuring uninterrupted grain exports is critically important for global food security. He stressed that Ukraine will adhere to the agreements, while reserving the right to respond in case of violations by the Russian Federation. Defense Minister Rustem Umerov noted that the agreements also provide for joint work on long-term stability mechanisms in the Black Sea, which will be an additional incentive for the Ukrainian agricultural sector.
