On July 17, the Verkhovna Rada approved a new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers, headed by newly appointed Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. The motion received 253 votes in favor. As part of a government restructuring, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine has been dissolved. Its responsibilities — along with those of the Ministry of Environmental Protection — have been merged into the Ministry of Economy, which has been rebranded as the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, now led by Oleksii Soboliev.
The consolidation is part of a broader wartime reform strategy aimed at streamlining government functions. From now on, agrarian, economic, and environmental policies will be coordinated under a single authority. The new Cabinet includes several key personnel changes: 13 ministers were appointed or reappointed, with some receiving promotions. The government lineup was presented by Prime Minister Svyrydenko, who previously served as First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy.
