Russia. Rapeseed crusher started operating in Tatarstan

A rapeseed processing plant was opened in Bolshoye Podberezye village of Kaybitsky district (Tatarstan, Russia) on February 16, reports UkrAgroConsult.

It had been constructed since the fall of 2018 at the expense of RUB 7 Ml-worth grant support from the Agriculture and Food Ministry of Tatarstan to the Dary Prirody agricultural cooperative.

The plant is capable of processing 12 MT of rapeseed a day, producing 4.5 MT of cold-pressed rape oil and 7.5 MT of oil-cake.

It is planned to sell the rape oil to Europe and India and to use the oil-cake as an additive for balancing livestock feeds.
