Ukraine. Planting of early spring grains more than half complete

As of today, March 28, planting of early spring grains is underway all over Ukraine, except for Luhansk region. 50.2% of their target area (1146 Th ha) has already been seeded. This 38.6% ahead of the five-year average.
The fastest progress is seen in sowing spring barley, which is already 51.1% complete, reports UkrAgroConsult.
Spring fertilization of winter crops is drawing to an end. By now, farmers have fertilized 5986 Th ha of winter wheat (93% complete), 107 Th ha of winter rye (93%) and 980 Th ha of winter barley (97%).
