Grains. Planting of early spring grains in Ukraine was 93% complete as of April 22 with 2099 Th ha planted by that date. This is 7% more than as of April 23, 2018, but 9% below the five-year average.
The corn planting progress is slightly behind last year (-3%), reports UkrAgroConsult.

Oilseeds. According to Ukraine’s Ag Ministry, 1413 Th ha of sunflower had been sown by April 22, 2019, or 25% of the projected 5714.1 Th ha (official data). The pace of planting is far ahead of last year: 1239 Th ha had been planted to sunflower by April 22, 2018.
