This week’s fair weather conditions for planting allowed farmers to narrow the year-on-year gap in its progress. So, 5349 Th ha had been planted to spring grains and pulses by May 8, 2019, or 8% less than a year earlier. However, their planting was 13% behind last year on May 6, 2019.
As of the reporting date, corn sowing progress was 10% behind last year (-19% on May 6, 2019), reports UkrAgroConsult.
