Sunflower oil exports in September-June 2018/19 totaled a record 5199 KMT (up 14.5% year-on-year). The rise in shipments resulted from record production and domestic crush of sunflower seed.
India continues to be the top importer with a market share of 36%. Purchases fell by almost 10%, to 1870.7 KMT against 2072.7 KMT a year earlier, with demand from India remaining firm, reports UkrAgroConsult.
MY 2018/19 witnessed the first-ever shipments of the Ukrainian commodity to Namibia, Uruguay and Dominica.
Growth in exports to the following markets: China (+62%), Iraq (+89%), The Netherlands (+42%).
