USDA: Sunseed crop in the Black Sea region to gain 2 MMT

In the August report, USDA raised its 2019/20 oilseed crop estimate for the Black Sea region by 1.4 MMT, to 46.498 MMT, at the expense of a 2 MMT increase in sunflower seed production with a 0.6 MMT cut in the rapeseed crop, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The sunflower seed adjustment concerned Russia (+1 MMT), Ukraine (+0.7 MMT), Turkey (+0.2 MMT) and Moldova (+0.1 MMT). The rapeseed crop outlook was cut for Ukraine (-0.7 MMT) and increased for Russia (+0.1 MMT).
