Belarus. Agrometeorological conditions and crops development

16 August, 2019 at 08:08

Weather conditions. Weather conditions are favorable for yield formation in corn. The amount of degree-days above +10°С accumulated from May to August 8 turned out to be above the long-term average. This year’s accumulation of effective heat is lower than in the same period in 2018.

Moisture supply. Moisture supply of corn is largely good that contributes to the formation of cobs.

Crop condition of winter, spring grains and pulses is fair to good. Due to early planting, corn development is at last year’s pace, even somewhat ahead of 2018 at some observation points, reports UkrAgroConsult.
