Weather conditions. The weather on February 1-8 was variable. The average daily temperature was 3-10°C above normal, ranging from -2°C to +8°C.

Moisture supply. Minor and moderate precipitation in the form of rain and sleet occurred on single days. This increased soil moisture content in the winter crop fields, reports UkrAgroConsult. The ground was free of snow, except for Kharkiv region, where sleet resulted in a 3-6 cm snow cover buildup, and Kyiv region (2-3 cm).

Crop condition. Due to elevated air temperatures and scarce soil moisture, winter crops in the southern and central regions remain exposed to unfavorable conditions for their survival. Winter crop condition has not changed; the central leaf slightly increased in southern and southeastern Steppe areas when plants were moderately growing on abnormally warm days.
