Ukraine. Spring wheat and barley planting lags behind last year
15 April, 2020 at 14:04According to official data, 2.695 Ml ha had been planted to early spring grains in Ukraine by April 9, 2020.
Planting of the following crops lags behind last year:
- spring wheat (-19%),
- spring barley (-37%),
- oats (-40%).
Pea planting is 31% ahead of last year.
Corn and sunflower planting is far ahead of last year’s progress, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Soybean and millet planting began earlier than in 2019.
