The government and traders will sign a memorandum as in previous seasons. The document determines the maximum exports of wheat, including milling wheat.
UkrAgroConsult believes, the Agriculture Ministry will tighten control over compliance with the memorandum, as supply of milling wheat in Ukraine is expected to decrease this season. Any restrictions are possible only when actual export shipments approach the critical level.
UkrAgroConsult estimates that domestic consumption of milling wheat is nearly 4-4.3 MMT, while its production is expected to reach around 9.5-10 MMT.
Palm oil imports to Russia totaled 77.2 KMT in May 2018, or 13.2% more than in the previous month and up 29.3% from May 2017.
