Sunflower seed. UkrAgroConsult expects an acreage expansion to a record level due to high sunseed prices stimulating growers to sign forward contracts.

Following a bad harvest year and in view of current weather conditions, yield is expected to recover. The crush will increase with an appropriate rise in sunflower oil and sunflower meal export potential.

Soybeans. The planting acreage will remain at the 2020/21 level. Following a bad harvest year and in view of current weather conditions, yield is expected to recover. Soybean crop is likely to increase by 15-18% compared to a year ago. Exports may rise to 2 MMT.

Rapeseed. According to UkrAgroConsult’s forecast, rape acreage will decrease by 20%. Growers prefer other, more productive crops. Yield recovery will allow farmers to harvest a crop, though it will be 10% less compared to a year ago.

Rapeseed crush and exports will also decrease. At the same time, prices will be attractive given higher demand both from exporters and domestic crushers.
