According to port data, in February 2018/19 MY Romania exported 303.25 KMT of wheat, which was 88% higher than in February 2018, but 19% less than in the same month of 2017, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Sudan and Egypt were key importers of Romanian wheat in February 2019.

In July-February 2018/19 MY Romania exported 3739.3 KMT of wheat, which is 10% more than over the same period last season, but -7% compared to the record pace noted in July-February 2016/17 MY.

In the reporting period wheat shipments to Egypt increased by 19% to 819 KMT compared to July-February 2017/18. Also high demand is seen from the EU countries (Germany, Italy, Netherlands and UK) due to summer drought which impacted wheat crop in some parts of the bloc.
