Ukraine: high-oleic market segment ahead of the new season

Stable demand from high-oleic oil importers, as well as prospects for opening up new markets maintains the attractiveness of high-oleic sunflower seed, UkrAgroConsult reports.

The planted area of high-oleic sunflower will continue expanding and reach record high level.

A narrowing price spread between high-oleic oilseed and sunflower seed in MY 2019/20 will play the role of a constraining factor.

The crop increase would raise crush and production of high-oleic sunflower oil to new records.

As a result, export potential of the high-oleic sunflower oil market will also increase.
