In November’s report, the USDA raised its estimate for the 2018/19 Black Sea oilseed crop to 44,262 KMT (+900 KMT).
The increase in the sunflower seed crop is expected due to a 500 KMT gain in Russian production (to 11,500 KMT).
Rapeseed production in the Black Sea region will rise by 200 KMT also owing to Russia, whose rapeseed crop is now forecast at 2,000 KMT against 1,800 KMT expected a month ago.
The forecast for Black Sea soybean production in the 2018/19 season was upped by 200 KMT, to 4,400 KMT, at the expense of adjusted figures for Ukraine.
