International Agri Community met at ‘Agro&Food Security Forum. Grains, Oilseeds, Pulses’ on September 14-15 in Warsaw

Over 300 representatives of international agribusiness met at ‘Agro&Food Security Forum. Grains, Oilseeds, Pulses’ on September 14-15 in Warsaw. The Forum was organized by Analytical agency UkrAgroConsult and Association of Pulse Producers and Consumers of Ukraine, together with Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce. The Forum was supported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland and EBRD.

Agro&Food Security Forum became a new platform for the global dialogue and search for effective solutions to ensure global food security, develop new supply chains and collaborate in agribusiness.

The Forum attracted about 320 participants from 28 countries around the world who are interested in finding effective solutions in the new reality, building partnerships in trade, logistics and processing.

The Forum involved government representatives of Ukraine and Poland, leading Ukrainian and international experts and market operators, to highlight new factors shaping agricultural market in 2023-25, production and export potential of agri commodities, formation of new logistics corridors and new ways of cooperation to prevent the food crisis.

Forum Speakers and Participants were engaged in effective discussions and networking through making presentations and sharing opinions in four panel discussions: Logistics and Trade Panel ‘New Silk Road. Creating Alternative Global Agri Food Supply Chains’, Strategic Panel ‘Ukraine and the Global Food Security. Prospects for 2022-2025’, Discussion Panel ‘Global Pulses Market. Key Players and Processing’, Discussion Panel ‘Risks of 2023-2024. New Challenges for Ukrainian Farmers’.

Also, on September 14 a working trip to the ports of Gdansk and Gdynia took place, which was a good chance for market players to see the ports facilities, meet with operators involved in grain transshipment, find new contacts and partners.

Poland as Ukraine’s important economic partner, holds an increasingly important position as a logistics hub for the Ukrainian exports and the transit of grain and agri-food products to international markets. During the Forum the Memorandum about Mutual Cooperation between UkrAgroConsult, Community of Pulse producers and Customers of Ukraine and Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce had been signed.

Within the Agro&Food Security Forum legal company from Ukraine AGA Partners successfully held a seminar ‘Contract Execution at a War Time’.

Delegates of the Forum certainly benefited from a great deal of useful market analysis and valuable knowledge to advance their activities and strategies to be even more successful market players.

The Agro&Food Security Forum was a good opportunity to get to know each other, discuss possible joint actions and investment projects to ensure food security especially in the current difficult situation due to the ongoing war in Ukraine.
