Belarus stepping up rapeseed imports

31 January, 2019 at 16:01

According to the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the monthly volume of rapeseed imports in November 2018 hit a season high 36.5 KMT. The previous 2018 peak in monthly imports of the commodity was seen in August, when they totaled 34.4 KMT, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The rise in purchases is driven mostly by growth of crushing capacities in Belarus. All the rapeseed imported in November came from Russia.
