Elevated air temperatures persisted in Romania this past week. The average air temperature in all growing regions of the country was 4..6°С above normal. The average daytime air temperature varied within +8..+18°С.

Heavy rainfall was seen all over Romania (20-35 mm during the week). The highest precipitation rates were reported in the south and southwest (50-60 mm) that will have a favorable effect on winter grains, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Winter wheat and barley are in the stem elongation stage, while winter rape plants are in the stage of inflorescence. Romanian farmers continue planting sunflower and corn.
