Lower air temperatures were observed in eastern Romania this past week, when the average air temperature was 2..4°С below normal. The average daytime temperature varied within +6..+15°С.

Rain fell all across the country (10-15 mm for the week). Over the last two weeks, it has increased moisture content in the 0-20 cm soil layer in key growing regions of Romania. Soil drought still persists in central and northwestern areas, locally also in the southeast.

Winter wheat and barley are in the stage of stem elongation, locally even in the heading stage in the south. The stages of inflorescence and flowering are reported in winter rape fields. Romanian farmers continue planting sunflower and corn, reports UkrAgroConsult.
