According to Kazakhstan’s Ag Ministry, the country’s grain export potential in MY 2019/20 will decrease by almost 3 MMT against 10.8 MMT in MY 2018/19, reports UkrAgroConsult.
The reasons include a drop in the Kazakh grain crop in MY 2019/20, weaker demand from the traditional importers (in particular, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Iran) due to high grain production in these countries.
As a reminder, UkrAgroConsult had previously cut its estimate for 2019/20 grain exports from Kazakhstan.
