China almost doubled sunflower meal imports from Ukraine

Sunflower meal exports in the first seven months of MY 2019/20 reached a record 3307 KMT up 13% on the year), UkrAgroConsult reports.  

China almost doubled sunflower meal purchases from Ukraine. Exports to EU countries plummeted to 883.3 KMT from 1205.9 KMT a year earlier.

Exportable supplies in MY 2019/20 are estimated at a record level (up 10% from MY 2018/19).

Growth in exports was registered to the following markets: India (+387%), Italy (+59%), Turkey (+28%).

A slump was seen in shipments to the Netherlands (-79%), France (-32%), the United Kingdom (-83%).
