November barley exports from Russia totaled 410 KMT (+41% from October and +3% from November 2020/21) that was the highest since MY 2018/19, UkrAgroConsult reports.

This season’s exports had totaled 2.3 MMT (-30% y-o-y).

Turkey’s share in Russian barley exports expanded to 36%, as it increased purchases 18-fold from the same time last year.

Apart from Turkey, the following major buyers also stepped up purchases compared to last season: Iran (+50%), Libya (+8%).

A decline is seen in demand from Saudi Arabia (-80% y-o-y), which had been a traditional importer in previous years, as well as from Tunisia (-50%) and Jordan (-79%).
