Constanta: record high grain exports. Estimation of the Ukrainian grain share after harvesting in Romania

Due to the quick development of port infrastructure and the increased grain producton in Romania, the port of Constanta has become one of the largest grain export hubs in Europe. Grain transshipment has increased 2.5 times over the last 10 years, the share of agricultural products in total cargo turnover has reached 41%. One of the drivers for rapid development is the port of Constanta position at the crossroads of trade routes. This Romanian port now acts as a transit gate for grain from Serbia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Austria due to the proximity to the Danube river.
