Ukraine. Oilseed production estimates by the Agrarian Economics Institute

According to calculations made by researchers of the Agrarian Economics Institute, production of all oilseeds in Ukraine is expected to increase this year:

- due to an expansion of rape plantings by 1.3 times, rapeseed production will exceed last year’s level by 26.7%, reaching 2.781 MMT;

- sunflower seed production will rise by 16.1%, to 14.207 MMT;

- a 13.7% drop in the soybean planted area will be offset by an almost 16% gain in yield; the crop will amount to 4.516 MMT (+15.8%), reports UkrAgroConsult.
