Wheat bran exports from Ukraine hit a seven-year low

Ukraine exported a total 514.7 KMT of wheat bran in MY 2018/19 (down 19% from MY 2017/18, the lowest volume in seven years), reports UkrAgroConsult.

The range of export destinations widened (+7 countries). Turkey – the biggest traditional buyer – slashed purchases by 25% this season, to 432 KMT against 572.9 KMT in MY 2017/18.

Saudi Arabia – the second biggest importer – resumed purchases after a pause in MY 2016/17 and MY 2017/18.

For the first time ever, Ukraine exported wheat bran to Senegal. A rise in exports is registered to the EU and Singapore.
