30 July, 2019 at 15:07

Weather conditions. On July 11-20, the Northwestern, Central and northern parts of Volga federal districts were dominated by cold weather with frequent heavy rainfalls (at least 25-50 mm of precipitation was received at the time). The average air temperature during the ten days was 14…16°C, or 3-4°C below normal. Air temperatures in the Southern and North Caucasian federal districts lowered on July 11-20, when they peaked at 29…33°C, even at 35°C in the east of the territory. Colder-than-normal weather dominated single areas in the Siberian federal district. The average daily air temperature was close to normal or 1-2°С below normal.

Crop condition. Major crops are mostly in good condition in the Northwestern, Central and Volga federal districts, rated fair to good in the Volga district. Crop condition in the Southern and North Caucasian federal districts is also good and fair. The Siberian federal district witnessed fair and good conditions for both ripening of winter crops and growing of early spring grains almost everywhere, reports UkrAgroConsult.
