The Ag Ministry of Kazakhstan has reduced its forecast for 2019/20 grain and flour exports to 7 MMT. The previous forecast was at 8 to 9 MMT, reports UkrAgroConsult.
The following reasons for the forecast decrease were mentioned:
- the grain crop turned out to be below its projected size due to weather conditions;
- a large grain crop in the neighboring countries which are major grain exporters.
Farmers started corn harvest, with its progress being 76.8% behind last year and a 3.4% higher yield than in 2018
